Psoriasis Shampoo Reduce Your Psoriasis Immensely

By Sophia Taylor

It is important to find the right psoriasis shampoo, as the wrong shampoo can worsen your infection. There are a lot of different shampoos available today with different aromas and different properties that makes them attractive to the general population. But finding the right psoriasis shampoo can be like a roller coaster trip because many of the shampoos promising psoriasis relief actually increases your psoriasis irritation.

Psoriasis Shampoo – What you need to know about the shampoos

What you want to avoid in a psoriasis shampoo is the ingredient called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). This ingredient is included in almost all shampoos on the market, especially in the supermarkets. The unfortunate thing about this ingredient is its damaging properties because it can be directly related to skin damage, liver toxicity and worsen your psoriasis.

You can wonder why this ingredient is found in a ‘psoriasis shampoo’ and the answer is very simple; it is cheap. Therefore it is recommended that you invest a little extra in a psoriasis shampoo that does not include this ingredient.

The best psoriasis shampoo – Natural shampoos to cure your psoriasis

-Psoriasis Shampoo #1: Olive oil shampoo is great for not only your skin that is affected by psoriasis, but it also helps with promoting thick and beautiful hair. Massage the psoriasis scalp shampoo into your scalp and let it sit there for a couple of minutes before washing it away.

-Psoriasis Shampoo #2: Jojoba oil is very similar to your skins natural sebum levels and it is a great tool against psoriasis. As with the olive oil shampoo, massage this oil thoroughly into your scalp, but leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Then wash it away with a shampoo that does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

-Psoriasis Shampoo #3: Shampoos containing menthol is also very effective against reducing the itching, but make sure there is no SLS in it.

-Psoriasis Shampoo #4: Coconut oil shampoo has also proven to be of value against psoriasis. You can even use pure coconut oil and massage it into your scalp and leave it for at least 30 minutes (or overnight) and then wash it away afterwards.

-Psoriasis Shampoo #5: Psoriasis shampoo at your local drug store can also be effective. I am usually against any kind of unnatural treatment for psoriasis, but if you are looking for relief, then a psoriasis shampoo at your drug store can help you reduce the itching.

Before I leave you on your adventurous journey towards finding a psoriasis shampoo, I want to give you a heads-up. Don’t be fooled by all the marketing hype surrounding the shampoo market or skin care market. You will be met with different exotic colors and names, but use your common sense in these situations.

Prioritize a natural psoriasis shampoo over a shampoo with ingredients that you have a hard time pronouncing. And finally, be consistent with the psoriasis shampoo for at least a couple of weeks and look forward to a psoriasis free life.
